VALLESECO. Between 18th to July 24th, 2001 the municipality of Valleseco celebrates its Gastronomic Week IV of the Goat, in which various restaurants offering traditional dishes with goat (meat sauce, croquettes), goat (in adobo sauce) and cheese (with goat’s milk), and other local culinary delights in highlighting ingredient apple (tart, profiteroles, cider). The week also concludes with the Craft Fair and Business III in the town square, next to the church on Sunday, July 24.
In the IV Goat’s Gastronomic Week paticipate six restaurants that are easily accessible from the main road through the village (GC-21) and are (clockwise rise from Teror or from Firgas): Los Arcos de la Laguna, Valleseco, Balcon de Zamora, La Herradura, El Rinconcito Canario and Los Rubios. They offer a range of traditional dishes and local products like canarian goat cheese (6 €), goat meat croquettes (7 €), paella with goat meat (6 €), marinated baby goat (12 €), goat meat in sauce (7 €), apple cake (€ 2.50), apple profiteroles (2’50 €). All accompanied by cider produced in the town.
The Craft Fair and Business III has an appointment in the church square on Sunday from 24 to 10 hours of the morning, where will be able to enjoy apple cider Valleseco (while supplies last). It includes, from 10.30 to activities for children (bouncy castle and other surprises) and 13:00 a puppet show.
